How companies are using docfarm
Protecting the asset layer. Which AI tool to use stays the employee's call.
Half the work now happens in personal AI accounts. When an employee leaves, the Claude chats, the drafts, and the decks leave with them. Most companies respond by buying seats and forcing one sanctioned tool. Adoption dies, and the work keeps leaking anyway.
The companies getting this right do something different. They put docfarm in for three reasons.
of gen-AI users at work access tools through personal accounts
Netskope, 2026of employees admit sharing sensitive work info with AI tools without permission
IBM, 2025average extra cost per shadow-AI-related breach
IBM Cost of a Data Breach, 20251. To build the company brain
Every document the team produces lands in one farm the company owns, and the whole farm is queryable from any AI tool through the MCP connector. The proposal someone writes today starts from everything the company already knows, instead of from a blank page. New hires inherit that context on day one.
2. To capture business assets made in personal accounts
The work built on personal seats is invisible to the company until it is gone. With docfarm, the connector captures documents as they are produced, whichever account produced them, and routes them to the company farm. The day a seat is revoked, the chats go dark, but the assets stay. Nothing walks out the door.
3. To let marketing seed on-brand templates
Marketing drops HTML templates into the farm: the pitch page, the one-pager, the case study. Anyone in the company copies one, collaborates on the copy, and ships an on-brand page in minutes. The brand stays consistent without marketing reviewing every deck.
Apps are a choice. Assets are not.
What all three have in common: docfarm secures the asset layer, where work lands, and leaves the application layer, where work happens, alone. Companies that lock down the apps get routed around. Companies that secure the assets stop caring which tool made the document, so employees keep using whatever AI is best this quarter. No workflow changes, and the company owns the output either way.
Why now
MCP became the standard when Anthropic donated it to the Linux Foundation in Dec 2025, and 78% of enterprise AI teams now run at least one MCP-backed agent in production. docfarm was technically impossible at scale 18 months ago.
