Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Docfarm platform, available at doc.farm (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Docfarm, a service operated by:

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email or via a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Docfarm. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Description of Service

Docfarm is a file hosting and distribution platform designed to serve as a distribution layer for AI-generated content and outputs. The Platform allows users to:

4. Account Registration

4.1 Creating an Account

Certain features of the Platform require you to create an account. You may register using your email address and a password, or by signing in with a Google account. Anonymous access is also available for document viewing without an account.

4.2 Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at hello@doc.farm if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account credentials.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Platform solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The Platform is intended to be used to host and share documents, particularly AI-generated content and outputs.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights in the documents and content you upload to the Platform (“Your Content”). By uploading content, you grant Docfarm a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and process Your Content solely to provide the services described in these Terms.

6.2 AI-Generated Content

The Platform uses AI to generate summaries, tags, and other outputs based on Your Content. You acknowledge that such AI-generated outputs may not always be accurate or complete, and you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on or distributing them.

6.3 Docfarm’s Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to Docfarm. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you. You may not use Docfarm’s name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.

7. Privacy and Data

Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at doc.farm/privacy. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

Where you share documents with third parties through the Platform, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis to share any personal data contained in those documents, and that doing so complies with applicable data protection law.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Vercel, Anthropic, Resend, and Google OAuth. Your use of these services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Docfarm is not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.

9. Enforcement and Termination

9.1 Violations

If we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including immediate and permanent termination of your account without prior notice.

9.2 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account, whether by you or by us, your access to the Platform will be revoked immediately and all data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our systems. We will not be liable for any loss of content or data resulting from termination.

9.3 Survival

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

10. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DOCFARM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Platform will be available at all times, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not provide any service level or uptime guarantees.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DOCFARM AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In jurisdictions that do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Docfarm and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

14. Miscellaneous

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Docfarm with respect to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Docfarm may freely assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
